A 50-year-old Creedmoor man was jailed and his vehicle seized by county deputies Wednesday following a chase from Green Path Road in northern Sampson toward Harnett County.

After the chase ended, Benjiman Mann, 1529 Olive Circle, Creedmoor, was taken into custody and charged with felony flee to elude, driving while license revoked, speeding, resisting a public officer, fictitious registration, reckless driving, unsafe passing and failure to yield for a stop sign.

According to Sampson Sheriff’s Capt. Marcus Smith, the arrest came on the heels of the chase, which began when deputies attempted to stop a gray Ford Explorer on Green Path Road near Harnett-Dunn Highway for a fictitious registration.
