The New Orleans Pelicans announced Thursday that the team has waived guard Jaden Springer.
The former NBA champion appeared in two preseason games with New Orleans, but didn't play in their season opening loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

Across those two preseason games, Springer averaged 3.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 6.3 minutes per contest. He's now heading to waivers, while the Pelicans' roster sits at 17, including three two-way players.
