The official election day in Montreal is Nov. 2. But you don’t have to wait till then to make your voice heard.
Élections Montréal will set up advance polling stations starting tomorrow for students at their campus, seniors in residences and the general population.
On Wednesday, Élections Québec said that registered voters do not need the election card, normally sent out ahead of the elections, in order to vote. Due to the ongoing postal strike some municipalities couldn’t mail the cards in time or at all.
Voters will need to carry a piece of identification to be able to vote. It can be one of driver’s license, Canadian passport, health card, Canadian Forces ID or the Certificate of Indian Status.
