ALBANY, N.Y. – Technology is advancing faster than ever, and for many older New Yorkers, the challenge is learning how to use it safely and confidently.
At the AI and Aging Tech Symposium hosted by the Albany Guardian Society, seniors filled the room and logged on virtually to learn how artificial intelligence, smart devices and telehealth tools can make daily life easier.
“We don’t have an option because it’s coming,” said Lorraine Chandler, a caregiver attending the event. “It’s not going to go away. We have to learn how to use it.”
An AARP study shows 89% of seniors want to age in place. Experts at the symposium say technology can help make that possible.
