IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh was among the prominent members of the Sikh community in the Capital who gathered at Gurdwara Moti Bagh on Thursday for darshan of the holy Jore Sahib — the footwear of Guru Gobind Singh and his wife Mata Sahib Kaur — before their journey to Patna Sahib for permanent enshrinement. The sacred relics, which have been in the custody of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s family for the last 300 years, were handed over to the Gurdwara authorities on Wednesday. The 1,500-km-long ‘Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra’ will cover Faridabad, Agra, Bareilly, Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sasaram and reach Patna Sahib on November 1.
