It’s only natural for most of the players on MLive’s Michigan High School Football Player of the Year watch list to be upperclassmen. But when you have a standout like Cass Tech sophomore quarterback Donald Tabron II, exceptions can be made.

After quarterbacking the Technicians to a Division 1 state title last year, Tabron has led Cass Tech to an 8-0 record so far this season. He also inserted himself into the MHSAA record books.
