DJ Moore is as tough as they come.
The Chicago Bears wide receiver needed to visit a Washington-area hospital after an Oct. 13 win over the Commanders because of a groin injury. He missed the team flight home that night.
Yet six days later, Moore was back on the field for Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Saints and caught three passes for 43 yards. Moore missed only one day of practice in the week between those games.
The Bears declined to elaborate on the nature of Moore’s injury.
“Yeah, that’s a little more of a personal story there,” coach Ben Johnson said the day after the Washington game.
Speaking Thursday for the first time since the injury, Moore declined to say more about his injury.
“I mean, it is what it is with football,” he said. “You get bruised up. You bounce back.”
