FAIRVIEW, Okla (KFOR) – The City of Fairview was left without water Thursday, forcing businesses, city buildings, and even schools to close.
“I walked into my vo-tech and I was told straight up from the guy that there was no water in the building,” said Leah Nunn, a student at Northwest Technology School.
Nunn is a student at Northwest Tech and says she had classes this morning despite the lack of water.
“I'm in cosmetology in the afternoon, so, like, if we use water, we can't do like hair washing or anything in the afternoon or any water stuff,” said Nunn. “So for us, for my class, it is important. I would say.”
Just an hour after the interview, the school closed for afternoon classes.
Northwest Tech was not alone.
Several businesses closed their doors on Thursday, leaving signs on
