A Rutgers student from Matawan who was seriously injured when he was electrically shocked at a fraternity house earlier this month is no longer in critical condition, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Officials confirmed that the student, a 19-year-old member of Alpha Sigma Phi, is still hospitalized but that his condition had improved as of Thursday afternoon. The student’s name has not been made public.
