CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) -The SEMO Football team will face first-place Tennessee Tech Saturday in Cookeville, Tennessee.

The 8th-ranked Golden Eagles are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the OVC-Big South Conference.

The Redhawks are 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the league, tied for 3rd place.

Southeast has won seven of the last eight games against Tech, including the last three.

Coach Tom Matukewicz talked about the importance of this matchup after practice on Tuesday. “This is a big game. I tell the truth. At the end of the day, we’re basically in the playoff hunt. We need to win to stay in the hunt.

SEMO and Tennessee Tech will kick off at Noon on Saturday.
