ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis City opened a new outreach center earlier this week for victims of the May 16 tornado.
The center is located at 4401 Natural Bridge Ave. - the Urban League Women’s Business Center, and the previous site of a FEMA disaster recovery center.
Emma D. Visor lived in her home on Enright Ave for two decades. The May 16 tornado destroyed the 90-year-olds home.
“The tornado tore up this area. Very upset and hurt but you can’t do anything about tornadoes,” Visor said.
On Thursday, Visor went to the new resource center to apply for help to remove the debris and bulldoze the rest of her home.
“The last five months, it’s trying to get somebody to get this stuff away and hauled away, but it still ain’t hauled away,” Visor said.
The center will be open M
