After a four-year-long investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially closed the case into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The agency’s closure report states that there is no evidence suggesting Sushant was “illegally confined, threatened, or abetted" to his death by suicide by Rhea Chakraborty or anyone else.

After reviewing the report on Thursday, actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s family said that they would challenge the CBI’s closure report on his death. Their frustration stems from the agency giving a clean chit to Sushant’s then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother, Showik, in the abetment and related charges.
