One Eugene-area school will be ending the 2025 regular season a week early.

The Class 5A Special District 4 game between South Eugene and Crater has been forfeited by the Axe. The update was posted to the OSAA site on Thursday, claiming that South Eugene did not have enough players.

This Friday’s game against Churchill has not been affected. South Eugene Athletic Director Jim Moore said the team has just enough athletes available this week to compete against the Lancers.
