BRUNSWICK, Ga. — A forensic audit into the Brunswick District Attorney’s Office finances reveals a slew of unauthorized purchases and a lack of oversight. This comes as the Glynn County Commission continues to call for District Attorney Keith Higgins to step down.
Higgins is the District Attorney for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, which includes Glynn and Camden counties along with Appling, Wayne and Jeff Davis counties. Higgins has been at the center of over his office's finances and relationship with Glynn County leaders for over a year. His office owes the county around $962,000 for payroll services that have not been reimbursed since November 2023.
