RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -Here at Swill, it wasn’t just coffee served up on a daily basis.

It was companionship, conversation and compassion as well.

The owners here had a commitment to be part of the community. That was apparent to anyone who came here.

Along with the coffee, they could needle point, knit, or just talk. No one rushed out customers after 20 minutes.

On the contrary, non-profit groups asked for and received a table so they could meet here once a week or month--all for a cup of coffee.

“We came to them about 6 months ago and asked them would they mind hosting us for coffee once a month,” says Tom Hill with a local Tai Chi class. “And for that reason, we have started to come by here and it has been absolutely lovely.”

Swill’s community involvement was unmatched.
