DAVIS, W.Va. (WBOY) — Canaan Valley State Resort Park is gearing up for the upcoming ski season with significant upgrades to its facilities.
The park has invested in improvements to its ski lifts and snowmaking equipment, supported by a $6 million investment from the State Department of Natural Resources.
"We've made quite a bit of tune-ups to our ski lifts, which have been very good for us," Canaan Valley State Resort Park Marketing Manager Mark Moody said.
The upgrades include the purchase of new snow guns and the construction of a brand new pump house to enhance snowmaking capacity.
"With us getting the groomer on the mountain, that's gonna allow us to more efficiently open skiable terrain," Moody explained, emphasizing the improved experience for skiers.
