TAMA COUNTY, Iowa — Traffic on Highway 30 westbound at T47 North between Tama and Marshalltown has been shut down due to a serious accident that happened around 3:15 p.m.

At 4:05 p.m., the Tama County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the road is still closed and that it is expected to be closed for some time.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
