A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that left four people injured in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The Vancouver Police Department reported that the assaults occurred on Wednesday evening, around 6:40 p.m., near East Hastings Street and Jackson Avenue.

The victims, three men and one woman aged between 33 and 60, were treated for stab wounds at a local hospital. Authorities indicated that one of the victims was specifically targeted, while the other three were bystanders caught in the incident.

Police responded to reports of the stabbings shortly after they occurred. Although the suspect was not located at the scene, he was apprehended a few hours later in a different area of the Downtown Eastside.

The teenager has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault and remains in police custody. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to gather more details about the incident and the circumstances surrounding it.
