The New York Islanders scored on the first shot of the night, barely two minutes into the game Thursday, and didn’t let up in a 7-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings at UBS Arena.
The Red Wings (5-3-0) have dropped back-to-back games on the road following a five-game winning streak.
