EAST LANSING – Michigan State put a revamped roster through its first live action and passed the opening test, even if it didn’t officially count.
The Spartans, in coach Tom Izzo’s 31st season leading the program, pulled away late for a 75-66 win against Bowling Green on Thursday night in their exhibition opener at the Breslin Center.
Coen Carr put together an impressive all-around performance with 17 points, five rebounds, five blocks, four assists and a steal to lead Michigan State. Jaxon Kohler recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Jeremy Fears added 12 points and nine assists.
