Local police and firefighters will battle it out on the ice in a friendly fundraising hockey game on Nov. 1.

The second-annual 911 Hockey game, hosted by Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) Foundation, will raise money for children’s care in the community.

A team from Waterloo Regional Police will face off against a team from the Cambridge Fire Department at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

The game runs from 3 to 5 p.m., with doors opening at 2:30 p.m.

Ticket sales and proceeds from other on-site activities will support pediatric services at WRHN, the recently-merged hospital.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, and can be purchased at 911hockey.ca.

Last year’s event raised $4,000 to advance pediatric care in the region.
