Rogers scored a pair of first-quarter touchdowns and did not allow any points defensively as the Rams closed out the season with a 13-2 City League football victory Thursday at Bowsher.

The Rams (3-7, 3-3 City) finished with three straight victories.

Quarterback Jerrell Wright opened scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run 1:29 into the game.

With 1:10 to go in the first quarter, Chuck Hines caught a Wright pass and created some running room, going 43 yards for a touchdown to put the Rams up 13-0.

Bowsher scored a safety three minutes into the third quarter when a Rogers punt snap sailed through the back of the end zone.

The Blue Racers finish 2-8, 2-4 in City League play.
