CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Charlottesville City Schools has received a $235,000 grant from the Virginia Department of Education to help strengthen ties between students and the local community.
The funding will support several projects across grade levels, including after-school reading programs with elementary students, a middle school mentorship program focused on identity and mental health, and a high school lab that teaches life skills such as financial literacy, resume building and time management.
