JAMESTOWN — No member of the Jamestown High School swimming and diving team was able to place first on Thursday,
Still, second place isn't too shabby.
Head coach Ben Smith and the Blue Jays hosted West Fargo Sheyenne on Oct. 23. The Mustangs won the dual by a score of 132-52. Smith and company will be back in action on Tuesday at Mandan. The dual is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
Marissa Moltzen was 0.38 seconds behind Thursday's 50 yard freestyle winner Taylor Lundal. Moltzen, the Jays' senior captain, touched the wall at 27.75 seconds.
Sawyer Moser collected a second place finish in the 200 IM, finishing the race in 2:35.21. The seventh grader also placed second in the 100 backstroke, turning in a time of 1:11.15, only 0.28 seconds behind race winner, Ava Hoornaert.
