A 29-year-old Queanbeyan man has been charged after allegedly breaking into a north Canberra home and threatening the occupant with a hammer.
He was arrested on Thursday after police officers recognised him at a service station in Fyshwick, an ACT Policing spokeswoman said.
It's alleged the man stole a safe from a residence in Evatt on October 2 with an alleged accomplice, a 28-year-old Canberra man who was arrested at the ACT court precinct on Wednesday.
Both alleged burglars are accused of fleeing the scene in a white Mazda, allegedly stolen the previous day from a car rental business at Canberra Airport.
Police believe both the co-accused are known to each other, and were subject to good behaviour orders at the time of the alleged crimes.
The Quenbeyan man will face the ACT Magi
