HIBBING — Liam Zins and Kyra Rohrbach are headed to the Class 2A state meet after qualifying at the Section 7-2A finals Thursday, Oct. 23, at Hibbing Golf Course.

Zins placed fifth for the boys with a time of 16:34.0 to advance. He led the Patriots boys’ team to sixth.

James Johnson finished 16th and Connor Jansen was 31st.

Rohrbach finished ninth for the girls with a 20:14.7 to pace the Pequot girls to eighth.

Sage Larson added a 33rd-place 22:01.6 and Addison Lillo finished 41st.

The top two teams and the top six individuals not on those teams advance to the state meet, which will be at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights.
