A crucial meeting of the West Bengal State BJP is scheduled to take place in Kolkata on Friday. Senior party leaders, including Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav and National General Secretary (Organisation) Sunil Bansal, are expected to attend. The meeting will primarily focus on election strategy and the ongoing awareness campaign on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
According to sources, the BJP plans to set up around 700 awareness camps across the border districts of West Bengal to inform people about the provisions of the CAA. The decision follows a detailed brainstorming session held in Kolkata on Wednesday, which was attended by BL Santosh and Sunil Bansal. Party sources told News18 that the BJP will now intensify its focus on these camps.
