VANCLEAVE, Miss. (WLOX) - Our Week 9 Game of the Week takes us to Vancleave, where the Bulldogs host the #9 Stone Tomcats.

Deep into the season, teams are banged up, dealing with injuries, and overall trying to stay consistent to make the playoffs.

“I feel like we’re getting healthy. We were banged up early in the year. Then, we had some younger guys step up, carrying the football for us,” says Jacob Aycock, Stone’s head coach. “We feel like getting our quarterback back, we’re in a good spot offensively. So, right now it’s just talking a lot about focus, making sure you’re doing your job, no pre-snap penalties. The little things really do add up.”

The Tomcats are in the driver’s seat at the top of the region.

As for Vancleave, they enter Friday’s contest as one of four teams in 5A Regi
