They had the chance to change all of that on Thursday Night if they could beat Auburn and earn their fifth win of the season.
Led by senior quarterback Jaden Williams and wide receiver Mike Townsend Jr., the J-Hawks turned a scoreless first quarter into a statement performance on both sides of the ball.
Townsend scored three touchdowns, including an 85-yard punt return in the fourth quarter.
Williams added a rushing touchdown late to seal the win.
Jefferson’s defense was dominant from start to finish, forcing four turnovers and limiting Auburn’s offense to minimal yardage throughout the night.
