HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A veteran received a big surprise on Thursday at the Hybricon Games at Valley Park in Hurricane.
Hybricon is a multi-day hybrid fitness event that incorporates military-style challenges.
Jackie Rose, a Desert Storm-era veteran, has dedicated much of his time to Valley Park and the city of Hurricane. He was surprised with a brand-new car during the festivities.
Rose’s vehicle had recently broken down, and the city said despite having no car, he continued to bike to his job and volunteer – until even his bike gave out.
