Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has described “Urban Naxalism” as one of the most dangerous and pressing challenges facing the government today. Speaking informally with reporters in Nagpur ahead of Diwali, Fadnavis said that Urban Naxals are attempting to push the Gen Z generation toward chaos and disorder. He asserted that the state government will respond firmly to such tendencies through constitutional means.
According to the Chief Minister, while armed Naxalism has largely been eliminated from Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, the network of Urban Naxalism has now emerged as the next big threat.
