If time ever allows him on Sundays, Jack O’Connor will dig out his bike and take off on a familiar route through his particular neck of south Kerry woods.

St Finian’s Bay, Ballinskelligs, Portmagee, 30 to 40 kilometres along the coast with the Atlantic swell in his ears.
