Eva Giambanco made five saves to earn the shutout for seventh-seeded Hopewell Valley in a 2-0 victory over 10th-seeded Robbinsville in the first round of the Colonial Valley Conference Tournament in Pennington.

Megan Kurian scored a first half goal for Hopewell Valley (9-10) with Makenzie Paul adding an insurance goal in the second half.

Hopewell Valley will play second-seeded Allentown in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Abbigail Amato made six saves for Robbinsville (4-12-1).
