Primary six boys from St Kenneth’s Primary won the Scottish Primary Schools’ Road Race Championships earlier this month.
Twenty pupils from the East Kilbride school competed in the annual event at Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline on October 1, with age-group races run over one mile.
St Kenneth’s had four good team performances, with their P6 boys’ team of Kyle Hartley, Ethan Hossack, Murray Crawford, Ollie Ramage and Jacob McGee beating teams from across Scotland to the trophy and gold medals.
In addition, Kyle Hartley was overall winner in the P6 boys’ race from over 100 runners.
St Kenneth’s P7 team of Oliver Kelly, David Ross, Freddie Farrell, Mason Gallacher and Aaron Dowling finished fifth, with the P7
girls’ team of Romana McGarvey, Lucy McCarthy, Soph
