There are reports on Friday morning of a crash involving four vehicles, two of which are police cars.
The crash took place around 6am and emergency services were called. East London Street, Albany Street, Forth Street and York Place were closed to traffic.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “There are several road closures in place at Broughton Street in Edinburgh following a crash involving two police marked vehicles, a van and a car.
“We received a report at 6am and emergency services are in attendance. Three people are being treated at the scene.”
Lothian Buses report diversions to their services: “Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Broughton Street and are instead diverted via Elm Row, Annandale Street and East London Street in both directions until further notice.”
