McDonald's has issued an apology after a teenager was left so appalled by her meal that she vowed to "never eat McDonald's again". ‌

John Cooney's 16 year old daughter had ordered a chicken burger from the Rice Lane outlet in Walton on Wednesday, October 22. She placed the order through the McDonald's delivery app just after the breakfast menu had ended at around 11.30am. ‌

However, when it arrived shortly afterwards, John said his daughter found a speck of "green mould" on the top of the burger bun. The father shared photos with the ECHO showing a green spot on the burger bun, reports the Mirror . ‌

John lodged a complaint with McDonald's on behalf of his daughter and was offered a replacement meal. A spokesperson for McDonald's has also issued an apology to the
