A Mayfield man is jailed after being arrested on drug charges early Thursday morning.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said about 4am Thursday, deputies as part of a drug investigation obtained a search warrant to search an apartment located at 406 North 2nd Street in Mayfield.

Earlier information indicated that illegal drug activity was occurring at this location.

The resident, 63 year old Leonard D. Starks, was found in the apartment. A search led to the discovery of multiple methamphetamine residue contained syringes, methamphetamine, marijuana, smoking pipes, and other related items.

Starks was currently out of jail on bond on pending charges of possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping, criminal mischief to rental property and other charges.
