Pakistan’s border clashes with Afghanistan have sparked a massive price surge in tomatoes and fruits.

The inflation rose in Pakistan due to the closure of the trade border with Afghanistan after conflict between the two countries. As the border was fully closed from October 11, the price of tomatoes in Pakistan has crossed around 600 Pakistani Rupees per kilogram. Apples and other fruits which come from Afghanistan are also facing shortages in the market and becoming expensive.
