They say a picture speaks a thousand words. In this case, it couldn't be more true as more than 2,000 people took over El Paseo on Oct. 11, dressed in pink to raise awareness of breast cancer by walking the walk, talking the talk and celebrating one another, including cancer survivors and thrivers.

The event commemorated the many lives and loves lost, while also demonstrating there is so much hope.
