Sony has started rolling out a firmware update for the P layStation 5 (review) and the PlayStation 5 Pro consoles. While most of the updates are geared towards stability and usually don’t bring anything new, the latest firmware does bring some really useful quality-of-life features and improvements.

Named version 25.07-12.20.00, the newest PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro firmware now lets you check the serial number of your console and connection DualSense wireless controller.
