Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced the constitution of a new CM Flying Squad to check the quality of link roads being constructed in the state.

The squad includes senior officials from the Punjab Mandi Board and the Public Works Department (PWD).

Davinder Singh, Baldev Singh, Manpreet Singh Dua and Rajiv Saini—all Superintending Engineers—would oversee the quality of construction work in the Malwa, Majha and Doaba regions.

It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister recently started the repair scheme for 19,492 km of link roads from Tarn Taran.

A total of Rs 3,425 crore would be spent on this scheme.

These flying squads would check the quality of repair work across the state.
