NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City Mayor Eric Adams endorsed former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the mayoral election on Thursday before early voting kicks off this weekend.

“Brothers fight,” Adams said in an East Harlem press conference announcing the endorsement. “Brothers come together.”

Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa has vowed not to drop out of the race to help Cuomo gain momentum against Democratic nominee and frontrunner Zohran Mamdani.

“Corrupt birds of a feather fly together,” Sliwa said about Adams’ endorsement.

Mamdani appeared at a rally held by Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday in support of Attorney General Letitia James, ahead of her arraignment on mortgage fraud charges brought by the Trump administration.
