RED BLUFF, Calif. - The Tehama Concert Series is ending its final season after 90 years. The nonprofit organization plans to bid farewell in a memorable way.
Morae Arthur, the president and chairman of the Tehama Concert Series, shared her mixed feelings about the closure.
"I didn't want to be this person and I saw it coming, and I thought I don't want to be that person who has to close it, but it is," said Arthur.
Arthur cited several reasons for the series' closure, including a lack of volunteers, a retiring board of directors, and financial struggles. The nonprofit has been operating at a loss for the last two years.
"There's a lot of expenses and all those expenses are rising but the income is falling and that's where we are," said Arthur.
