Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha visited GB Hospital in Agartala on October 24 to meet government officials injured during Thursday’s strike called by the Tiprasa Civil Society, an affiliate of the Tipra Motha Party (TMP). The strike, initially declared a peaceful protest, turned violent in several parts of the state.
Saha told reporters that “around 10 to 12 people were injured in separate incidents” and assured that those responsible would face strict legal action. He said he had been monitoring the situation since Thursday and had instructed officials to maintain peace and order.
