CHICAGO (WLS) -- There's a new call for remote learning for Chicago Public Schools.

It's in response to immigration operations here in Chicago.

The discussion over e-learning comes as a 17-year-old student was detained by federal officers in Little Village.

There have also been other interactions with ICE agents near schools.

The student arrest Thursday happened during an anti-ICE protest in Little Village, near 26th and Whipple.

The teen joined the demonstration while on his way to school at Benito Juarez Community Academy in Pilsen. He was later released without charges.
