ATLANTA — A 16-year-old was arrested after a standoff with Atlanta's SWAT units and now faces several charges, police said on Thursday.
Atlanta police officers were investigating reports of suspicious activity on Wednesday evening near a Texaco gas station at 3 Joseph E Lowery Boulevard NW when the teen fired at the officers and then ran into a nearby unoccupied home. Nobody was struck by gunfire, nor did any officers discharge their service weapons, police said in a statement.
