Claudia Winkleman is reportedly in talks to host her own BBC chat show following her departure from Strictly Come Dancing. Winkleman and Tess Daly shocked fans on Thursday when they announced they would be stepping down as the co-hosts of the dancing competition after 21 years. It's widely believed that the 53-year-old bowed out as she's become an in-demand presenter thanks to the popularity of The Traitors and the current celebrity version. According to Daily Mail and Deadline, there is a further reason for her Strictly departure - she's reportedly in talks with the BBC about her own chat show. Deadline reports that Winkleman is in advanced negotiations, but a deal has not yet been finalised for her to helm her own show, which will be made by So Television, the company behind The Graham Norton Show. The TV personality showcased her talent for hosting chat shows when she stepped in for Norton earlier this year and guest-hosted his long-running programme. According to the publication, Winkleman's show would air when The Graham Norton Show is on a break, so they wouldn't clash or have to compete for celebrity guests. Winkleman and Daly will leave Strictly after completing this season and filming the Christmas special. Daly has presented the dance competition since its inception in 2004, while Winkleman hosted the companion show It Takes Two. She joined Daly on the main series in 2014 after Sir Bruce Forsyth's exit. Current It Takes Two hosts Janette Manrara and Fleur East, as well as popular presenter Roman Kemp, are the current favourites to replace the duo.
