An Edinburgh collision led to a driver being hospitalised after his car collided with a bus .

The incident happened just after 7am on Friday, October 24. The male driver of the 2021 Honda CR-V was taken to hospital for treatment.

His condition is not currently known. Police confirmed recovery was arranged for both vehicles.

One local resident who witnessed the incident said the driver was 'stretchered away'.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Saltire Square, Edinburgh, at around 7.10am on Friday, 24 October 2025, following a crash involving a bus and a car.

"Emergency services attended and one man, the driver of the car, was taken to hospital for treatment. Recovery has been arranged for the vehicles."
