Iowa City Liberty volleyball player Ellie Wilson and Solon football player Lucas Feuerbach were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen's Athletes of the Week for Oct. 13-19.

Wilson earned girls Athlete of the Week with 59% of the vote.

Wilson made her mark in Liberty volleyball's 2-0 sweep (25-19, 25-15) over Prairie in the MVC tournament on Oct. 14. The junior led the team with seven kills against the Hawks. She also tallied 10 digs, four serve aces and an assist. She went 12 of 13 when serving the ball.

Feuerbach earned boys Athlete of the Week with 46% of the vote.

Feuerbach, a junior, was a defensive star in Solon football's 35-0 road win over Mount Pleasant. The 6-foot-2 defensive lineman recorded eight tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
