Coronation Street fans think they have 'worked out' how the long-running show will officially crossover with Emmerdale - and it will involve someone getting their 'comeuppance'.

The standalone episode, set to be dubbed 'Corriedale', will see the residents of Weatherfield join forces with their Yorkshire neighbours in an action packed hour of drama.

Corriedale will air on ITV , STV, ITVX and YouTube in early 2026, and will herald the start of the new soap power hour schedule, with each show screening 30 minute episodes every weekday, Emmerdale at 8pm, followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm.

It was confirmed that cameras started rolling on the highly anticipated production at the end of September, and now the first two characters from both ITV soaps set to be involved
